Today we rented a scooter and explored the grounds at the marina more... yes you need a scooter.  The grounds of the compound are about the size of Manhattan.

Later in the day we took off for La Romana the town leaving the compound.  On exiting the compound gates the guard said in spanish "good luck, be careful".... OK... so into La Romana.  A great town.  Very busy and man things to see.  We had lunch at the local super market area then ventured west of town.  After a 2 hour ride on the scooter we then went back east of town to Bayahibie  (sp)
